You find the English version of this interview underneath the German version.
If you would like us to feature you and your models on the blog, send us your answers to the questions below together with some photos or videos of your beste models, your collection and your workshop at webmaster@revell.de

(Nr. 07072)

4. How do you work when you are building? Do you have a special method or workflow?

I’m very thorough when I work and always use the same workflow:

      a) before to start, I search a lot of pictures for the model in internet, magazines and books, the idea is bulid the model as similar that the original in stock form, using factory colors for, engine, mechanical parts, interiors and body parts.

     b) With color markers, I mark with the realcolor each part in the instruction sheet, so it is easier paint at the same time all parts for each selected color.

     c) I review each part in each tree, to remove burrs and mold lines. In plated parts, I remove carefully plated cover in glue zones.

d ) With a brush, I paint all small parts, starting with light colors first

    e) Body and other parts are painted using airbrush. If I use metallic color for the body, I coated with clear gloss cote with the airbrush.

    f) To detail small parts,as dials in instrumention clusters, bolts, etc, I use toothpicks witha small quantity of paint,

   g) For chrome details, I use Bare foil metal

   h) When all parts are dried, I start to build the model following the instruction sheet, using the    selected pictures

   i) When the model is ready, I take pictures and put the model in the respective shelf, my models are organized by brand, model and year

5. You shoot great photos: Do you have some tips on shooting, camera, software for the other Revell-fans? We would like to engage & enable more people to do those kind of vids.
